RACING IS LIFE........
We all hope that Nick and Aran are going to have a great year.Nicholas came 3rd in the 600s lets see what Aran can get out of this year.Make us proud boys.
LIVE TO RACE.RACE TO LIVE
Aran was given a ZX10 from Walker Brothers. This is what he started racing on after his injury. Walker Brothers has now given Aran a Yamaha R1 and are trying to sell the ZX10 at Maniacs.
Aran got a motard from his team- mate Trevor ,as I remember he did the 1st race and that went pretty well .Then it came to the 2nd race and the bike never started ,but thats racing you have your good and bad days.
Aran broke his collar bone when he was riding a 150 and had an incident just before the 8 hour, luckily one of Arans close friends James who is a national rider came to help out, as Nick and his dad had to do the 8 hour on there own.James was flying on short circuit but unfortunately James was not there earlier so that they could not come in the top three. Nick and James were doing very good times.Mark was struggling as he had to ride with up side down gearing and he normally rides with normal gearing.
Nicholas Van der Walt races at killarney race track. He races 150s and 600s.He won the 150 championship last year and came 3rd in the 600s this year Nick has dicided to stop racing 150s as he want to concentrate on the regional 600 races although Nick has stopped racing 150s the bike keeps going as he dad Mark Van der Walt has taken over.

Aran - Killarney Cape Town
In the second half of the race McFadden showed just why this bike is leading the National litre-class championship as he effortlessly picked up the pace, recording the fastest lap of the day, a near-record 1min11.393, three laps from the end and coming home five seconds ahead of Van Niekerk, while Westman took third from Rapson by less than three seconds.
But, when the lights turned, it was Van Niekerk on the five-year-old Yamaha who took the fight to the usually dominant McFadden while behind them, Westman and 2011 Regional champion Malcolm Rapson (Donford S1000RR) got into an equally intense fight for third.
